ANCHOR GIN

2024
Package Design
This project was developed as part of a package design course.

To ensure my concept aligned with market trends and consumer expectations,
I conducted competitive research by visiting bars and liquor stores across
New York City. These field visits provided valuable insights into branding,
shelf appeal, and customer preferences.

The brief was based on a real client request: to reinterpret
a historical Brooklyn gin recipe and modernize it while preserving its original charm.

The challenge was to blend heritage with a contemporary aesthetic.
The target audience was young men, with a slightly elevated and artistic sensibility.
To bridge the old and the new, I drew inspiration from risography—a printmaking technique that fuses vintage silkscreen processes with modern visual language.

I applied this style by illustrating the ingredients using risograph textures and incorporating refined, textured typography to communicate
a handcrafted yet modern feel.

Through this approach, Anchor Gin became a brand
that feels rooted in history but fresh and relevant for today’s audience.
